First of all, Ruslan Stefanchuk noted that this year Ukraine honours the memory of the innocent victims of the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people, in connection with the 80th anniversary of the tragedy. “As a co-chair of the organising committee established to properly honour the memory of our fallen brothers and sisters, I want to assure you that your pain is our pain, your memory is our memory, your future is our future.”

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation and joint activities.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk invited Nariman Dzhelal to cooperate with the Ukrainian Parliament on issues related to Crimea and the Crimean Tatar people. Ruslan Stefanchuk spoke in more detail about the activities of the Parliament and the decisions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in this area.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine paid special attention to the development of the parliamentary track of the Crimea Platform, focusing on the results of two parliamentary summits of the International Crimea Platform. Ruslan Stefanchuk invited Nariman Dzhelal, traditionally together with Refat Chubarov, to participate in the Third Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimean Platform.

“This is an international event that annually expands the list of countries that have a deep and comprehensive understanding of the Crimean issue, support the return of Crimea to Ukraine, and demand that russia be held accountable for the Crimean block of crimes,” the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed.
