The meeting took place on the sidelines of the NATO Summit of the Presidents of Parliaments, which is taking place on 09 July in Washington, DC.
First of all, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk expressed his gratitude to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmuş for Turkey's continued support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. "We also appreciate the defence and humanitarian assistance provided by Turkey," Ruslan Stefanchuk said.
He informed his counterpart of all the crimes and terrorist attacks committed by russia, including the horrific, brutal missile attack on the famous Ukrainian children's hospital Okhmatdyt.
Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked for Turkey's solidarity with Ukraine and expressed hope that Turkey's support would continue to grow.
During the meeting, the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament also emphasised the need to strengthen Ukraine's defence capabilities, in particular the priority types of weapons that our country desperately needs.
At the end of the meeting, the speakers of the parliaments discussed Turkey's participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine and its involvement in the process of comprehensive recovery of Ukraine.
