The exhibition "War Diaries: The Unheard Voices of Ukrainian Children" is a collection of works by Ukrainian children represented in the U.S. House of Representatives that highlight the ongoing terror and human rights violations committed by russia against the most vulnerable members of Ukrainian society. These are 14 stories that shed light on many unspeakable experiences through the eyes of children.

Opening the exhibition, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk began by informing the audience about the horrific, brutal russian missile attack on the famous Ukrainian children's hospital Okhmatdyt, which took place on 8 July this year in Kyiv.

"This is a terrible example of a cynical and inhuman attitude to life and children. But Ukrainians and Kyiv residents have demonstrated to the whole world what solidarity is. Hundreds of people were humanly clearing the rubble, passing bricks from hand to hand to free those who needed help, light, air, and liberation from the rubble. Kyiv was in traffic jams because people rushed to help the victims, children, carrying water, food, things," the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament stressed.

Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed that Ukrainians have set an example of true solidarity. He noted that he would like to see the same solidarity among the partners who are currently helping Ukraine. "I really want to see each of you, each of our partners in this living human chain of life that overcomes death, aggression, and gives hope. I really want the roads to Ukraine to be filled with air defence systems, aviation, long-range artillery and humanitarian aid," the Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament addressed the audience.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine thanked the attendees for their assistance in organising the exhibition and expressed his gratitude to all members of the US Congress who are defending Ukraine's interests today for their personal leadership and support of our country at a critical moment in its history.
