The Marshal of the Sejm of Poland, Szymon Hołownia, has arrived in Kyiv.
This was reported by the Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk on her Facebook page.
This is the first visit of the Speaker of the Polish Sejm to Ukraine after the recent parliamentary elections in the neighbouring country.
“It is valuable that the Speaker begins her visit by commemorating the victims and laying flowers at the Wall of Remembrance near Mykhailivska Square,” said Olena Kondratiuk, who took part in the ceremony together with Szymon Hołownia.
“This is an important visit for the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation and evidence of support for Ukrainian-Polish relations!” said the Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
