During the meeting, the parties discussed common priorities for cooperation in strengthening the role and subjectivity of the Parliament, parliamentary diplomacy, and the Parliament’s capacity to fulfil European integration tasks.
In addition, the interlocutors focused on the important issue of developing and launching the Communication Strategy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, openness of the Parliament’s work, and parity representation of the majority and minority.
“I have known Mr Mårten for a long time, I know his principled pro-Ukrainian position and his support for Ukraine. I wished Mr Mårten every success in his new position!” summed up Olena Kondratiuk at the end of the meeting.
