On Thursday, May 9, the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola paid a visit to Kyiv on the occasion of Europe Day.
During her visit, she delivered a speech from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and held a bilateral meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk and the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola unveiled a new honour board on the Alley of Courage.
The engraved honour board is dated "01.04.2022," because on the days of the liberation of Kyiv region, Roberta Metsola was one of the first European leaders to visit Ukraine and speak from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
For reference. The Alley of Courage on Constitution Square was opened at the initiative of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of Ukraine's independence.
The honour boards are engraved with the names of political leaders and other representatives of partner countries who have been helping Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation.
