The Deputy Chairwoman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk met with the President of the Senate of Malaysia Mutang Tagal on the sidelines of the Sixth International Forum of Intercultural Dialogue in Baku.
The interlocutors talked about a just peace for Ukraine. Mutang Tagal was impressed by his colleague's speech and the information he heard about the terrible humanitarian consequences of russian aggression.
For her part, on behalf of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Olena Kondratiuk thanked Malaysia for supporting the UN General Assembly resolutions in favor of Ukraine, our sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In particular, Mutang Tagal assured that the value of peace and minimization of any conflicts in the world is of fundamental importance to Malaysia.
Taking the opportunity, the Vice Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament invited Malaysia to participate in the Peace Summit in Switzerland and the conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine in Berlin. She also emphasized that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is looking forward to intensifying interparliamentary cooperation.
In addition, Olena Kondratiuk invited the leadership of the Malaysian Parliament to visit Ukraine and join the third Summit of the International Crimean Platform to be held this fall in Riga.
