The parties primarily discussed the security situation and military assistance.

First of all, the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Korniienko expressed gratitude for the comprehensive support of Ukraine, as well as to the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania for calling on the Government and all EU and allied countries to increase military support for our country to at least 0.25% of each country's GDP.

Oleksandr Korniienko emphasised the consequences of enemy attacks on Ukrainian cities, in particular, on the energy infrastructure: “The aggressor's criminal intentions are to stop our economy.”

He also stressed the importance of reconstruction and recovery. “Many schools, kindergartens and hospitals have suffered because of russian aggression,” said the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

“What was recently discussed in Lithuania about Ukrainian issues and now here in Kyiv is evidence of the results of strong inter-parliamentary cooperation,” Oleksandr Korniienko concluded, expressing hope for its continuation and strengthening.

The meeting was also attended by MPs of Ukraine: the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning Ihor Huz, the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Administrative and Territorial Structure and Local Self-Government of the Committee on State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning Vitalii Bezhin and the Chairperson of the Subcommittee on Forest Resources, Biodiversity, Natural Landscapes, Nature Reserve Fund Objects and Adaptation of Ukrainian Legislation to the Provisions of the European Union Law of the Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management Yuliia Ovchynnykova.
