First of all, the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine expressed his gratitude to the friendly Lithuania and the Lithuanian people for their consistent, tireless and effective support and assistance to Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.

“‘On full support for Ukraine's victory’ is not only the title of the resolution recently adopted by the Seimas of Lithuania. This is the essence and content of your inspired activity to help Ukraine win,” Ruslan Stefanchuk said.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed that russia continues to kill Ukrainian civilians, and that heavy fighting is taking place at the frontline: “The Ukrainian Defence Forces are doing everything possible and impossible to stop and push back the enemy. The ultimate goal is to liberate the entire temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and return peace to Europe.”

At the same time, he noted that Ukraine's top priority is military and technical assistance. Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked for all the assistance packages received and planned, and added that Ukraine appreciates Lithuania's decision to allocate EUR 35 million as part of the Czech initiative. The Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine expressed his gratitude for Lithuania's leadership in the International Coalition for Combat and Humanitarian Demining, joining the IT Coalition, cooperation at the level of defence industries, in particular, on increasing the production of drones for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as for Lithuania's leadership on the sanctions track, steps to ensure the full and effective implementation of sanctions.

“Our common enemy must be defeated in Ukraine on the battlefield. Once and for all. Unity, determination, speed, bold decisions without any red lines are the main words that should determine our actions today,” the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed.

In addition, Ruslan Stefanchuk said that over the past two years, Ukraine has done everything to prevent other countries from experiencing the horrors of war and will continue to do so as a member of NATO and the European Union: “We are counting on bold decisions for you and obvious decisions for us within the framework of the summits of the Alliance and the European Union this summer.”

“We all want peace. But not just peace, but fair and lasting peace. The Ukrainian Peace Formula is a real algorithm for ensuring such peace, overcoming the consequences of the war and preventing new aggression,” the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine said, adding that Ukraine appreciates and needs further support in implementing the tracks of the Formula and holding the inaugural Peace Summit at the level of state leaders.
