On Thursday, 21 March, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a number of decisions.
In particular, the people's deputies of Ukraine adopted:
No. 10373 – amended the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences regarding violations of legislation in the field of lobbying. The document comprehensively regulates the issues of liability in case of non-compliance with the requirements of the legislation on lobbying, termination of the violation and establishment of liability for it.
No. 10313 – amended certain laws of Ukraine on ensuring the rights of servicemen and police officers to social protection. The document improves the mechanisms for ensuring certain rights of servicemen to information, medical care, including medical treatment abroad, leave, and pension calculation. In addition, it provides for the rights of police officers to a one-time financial assistance in the event of death and determination of disability.
No. 9667-1 – amended the Law of Ukraine “On the Individual Deposit Guarantee System” to improve the operation of the Individual Deposit Guarantee Fund. The law defines a clear and transparent mechanism for the priority of satisfaction of claims of depositors and other creditors of a bank in respect of which the Deposit Guarantee Fund is carrying out a liquidation procedure.
No. 9088 – amended the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine to enhance the effectiveness of the institution of officials responsible for the stay of detainees and persons taken into custody.
