The parties discussed the continuation of defence support for Ukraine, Ukraine's path to the European Union and NATO, as well as the reconstruction of Ukraine.

"Latvia has already provided weapons and military ammunition worth almost UAH 400 million. This makes Latvia the third largest donor among our partners in terms of the percentage of national GDP and the 18th largest in absolute terms," the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine stressed.

He also expressed his gratitude for the treatment and rehabilitation of Ukrainian servicemen, military support and volunteer projects of Latvians aimed at supporting Ukraine.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed that he counts on Latvia's support and advocacy for Ukraine on its way to the European Union and NATO.

Ruslan Stefanchuk also called on Latvia to continue to support the Peace Formula proposed by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, as the Ukrainian plan is about a just and lasting peace.

Finally, Ruslan Stefanchuk noted that Latvia has decided to participate in projects to restore social infrastructure. He expressed gratitude for the Government's decision to allocate five million euros for this purpose in 2023.

"The success story of Ukraine is the success story of the entire civilised world," the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed.
