On Wednesday, 22 November, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a number of decisions, including:

 

No. 10275 – adopted the Statement of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine;

No. 10276 – adopted a resolution on the transfer of certain property that supports the activities of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine;

No. 10243 – appealed to the newly elected Sejm and Senate of the Republic of Poland to continue fruitful further cooperation between the peoples of Poland and Ukraine.

 

IN GENERAL:

 

No. 8011 – amended certain laws of Ukraine to ensure the rights of war veterans to biological post-traumatic fatherhood/motherhood. The law provides that during the period of martial law, military personnel are entitled to a free service for the preservation of reproductive cells in case of loss of reproductive function while performing their duties of defending the state against russian aggression;

No. 8313 – amended certain legislative acts of Ukraine to regulate the granting and use of leave, as well as other issues. The Law provides for two months of leave for demobilised persons upon returning to their previous place of work, the right to monetary compensation for unused days of annual leave in case of call-up for military service;

No. 9015 – amended the Law of Ukraine “On Financial Mechanisms for Stimulating Export Activity” regarding the insurance of investments in Ukraine against military risks.

AS BASIS:

No. 8329 – proposed amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences in connection with the ratification of the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence (Istanbul Convention). The amendments introduce administrative liability for sexual harassment, gender-based violence and failure to report domestic violence against a child;

No. 9432 – proposed to consolidate the status of English as one of the languages of international communication in Ukraine and the list of persons and positions to which the requirements for English proficiency at the required level apply.
