The meeting focused on the future of Ukraine in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
The Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine expressed hope that the Parliamentary Assembly would continue to demonstrate a consistent political position to help the Allies form a consensus on Ukraine's invitation to join the Alliance.
At the same time, Ruslan Stefanchuk asked to urge allied governments to contribute to the NATO Trust Fund as part of a comprehensive assistance package.
"Among the priority areas are ensuring the transition to Western weapons systems and humanitarian demining," the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasized.
