During his working visit to Japan, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk, together with the speakers of the parliaments of the Group of Seven countries and the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola, took part in an audience with His Majesty the Emperor of Japan Naruhito at the Imperial Palace.
Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed that such an official reception by the head of state is a special moment.
“The Emperor’s words are especially valuable: “The people of Ukraine are in a very difficult situation. I hope that peace will be restored as soon as possible,” the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine stressed.
On behalf of the Ukrainian people, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed sincere gratitude to Japan for its precious assistance to Ukraine in the most difficult times.
