In Warsaw, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, together with the Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Elzbieta Witek, took part in the Divine Liturgy in the Polish Army Field Church.
Afterwards, with the participation of the leadership of both chambers of the Parliament of the Republic of Poland, the Prime Minister of Poland, members of the Government and representatives of the Polish public, the Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament took part in the commemoration ceremony at the monument to the victims of the Volyn tragedy.
“In solidarity and prayer, we honour the memory of all the innocent victims of Volyn. We are together. In honour of the bitter losses in the difficult past, together in today’s struggle against the russian aggressor, together we are looking to the future. We are together and strong because of our unity,” said Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk.
