Within the framework of the Conference on the International Children’s Day “UA: War. The Unsung Lullaby”, the First Vice-Speaker Oleksandr Korniienko awarded the Certificate of Honour of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to Murat Sahin, the UNICEF Representative in Ukraine, for “significant personal contribution to strengthening the international authority of Ukraine, active social and human rights activities”.
“In the person of Murat Sahin, the UNICEF Representative in Ukraine, we are rewarding the entire international community that, together with Ukraine, cares about Ukrainian children,” said Oleksandr Korniienko, expressing his gratitude for the support of the very difficult but crucial process of returning Ukrainian children illegally deported to the russian federation.
“It is a great honour for me to work with you for the sake of your children. We have a lot to do to protect their rights, and I thank everyone who is behind this work, all the families and parents who are also taking on this responsibility,” said Murat Sahin, the UNICEF Representative in Ukraine.
