During the official visit of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk to the Republic of Poland, the Chief of Staff of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Viacheslav Shtuchnyi and the Head of the Chancellery of the Polish Sejm Agnieszka Kaczmarska signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the presence of the Heads of the Ukrainian Parliament and the Polish Sejm.
The parties agreed to cooperate on the basis of partnership, sharing knowledge, experience and best practices.
In particular, in the area of organising the work of parliaments (including in the area of European integration), parliamentary oversight, harmonisation of national legislation with European legislation, and the initiation of joint projects aimed at increasing the role of parliaments.
Accordingly, the parties agreed to cooperate in building the capacity of parliamentary expert services and organising study tours for the staff of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to acquire knowledge and skills related to European integration.
