The parties discussed further economic development, industrial recovery and Ukraine’s European integration path.
“Defence of the sky and further development of Ukraine’s economy are closely linked,” Oleksandr Korniienko stressed, noting that Ukraine’s top priority is to strengthen the combat capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular, to provide F-16 fighter jets.
In addition, the First Vice Speaker informed his colleague about Ukraine’s European integration track: “We continue to work on fulfilling our commitments to join the European Union and are ready to meet all the challenges on our way.”
“An important area of our work is the adaptation of legislation and the reorganisation of global state-owned enterprises to ensure their compliance with EU standards,” said the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The participants of the meeting also discussed the energy situation in Ukraine, demining of territories and achievements in the IT industry by Ukrainian specialists.
In conclusion, Oleksandr Korniienko expressed his gratitude to the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and Franz Fayot personally for their firm and unwavering support of Ukraine.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Development Dmytro Kysylevskyi and the member of the Committee on Education, Science and Innovation Roman Hryshchuk.
