During his official visit to the Kingdom of Denmark, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine met with Her Majesty the Queen Margrethe II of Denmark.
First of all, the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine thanked Denmark for its constant and reliable support of Ukraine.
“Queen Margrethe II of Denmark has repeatedly expressed her support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people,” he said, adding that during the meeting he heard wishes for a speedy end to this war and sincere congratulations to the brave Ukrainians.
“We talked a lot about the history that links our countries. But even more – about the future, in particular, about the reconstruction of Ukraine,” said Ruslan Stefanchuk.
In addition, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed that Denmark is one of the leaders in terms of financial assistance to Ukraine: “It is extremely important that the recently established Fund for Support of Ukraine provides both funds for the restoration of Ukraine and the involvement of Danish companies in the reconstruction of Ukrainian cities.”
Finally, he said that Denmark was one of the first countries to support the initiative of so-called patronage over the reconstruction of destroyed cities. Today, such a partnership has already been established with Mykolaiv.
