During her working visit to Israel, the Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk met with Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel Ronen Levi.
Olena Kondratiuk thanked Israel for its steadfast and clear support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and non-recognition of the annexation of Ukrainian territories by russia.
“Ukraine is grateful to Israel for its constant support in international organizations, voting for relevant UN resolutions and active participation in the implementation of humanitarian projects and initiatives,” the Vice Speaker emphasized.
The parties discussed cooperation between the two countries, in particular, the launch of a project to deploy an early warning system, which Israel has decided to transfer to Ukraine.
“We look forward to opening a new chapter in bilateral cooperation and further strengthening Ukrainian-Israeli relations at both the intergovernmental and inter-parliamentary levels,” the Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasized.
She also informed the Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the numerous war crimes committed by russia in Ukraine, especially against Ukrainian children, who are being deported en masse, forcibly and illegally by russia.
In his turn, Ronen Levi expressed his sincere condolences to the Ukrainian people over the deaths of civilians in Uman, a Ukrainian city of particular importance to Israel.
