During the official visit of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Chief of Staff of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Viacheslav Shtuchnyi and the Clerk of the House of Commons Sir John Benger, in the presence of the Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk and the Speaker of the House of Commons Sir Lindsay Hoyle, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
The parties agreed to make efforts to define the principles and methods of cooperation in areas of common interest, to exchange knowledge, experience and best practices.
In addition, the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the House of Commons Administration agreed to develop mutual cooperation in the following areas: building relationships and exchanging information, cooperation on capacity building of various expert services, joint implementation of technical assistance projects, and intensification of contacts between the research services of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Accordingly, the parties will carry out knowledge and skills exchange missions and organise study visits for staff.
