The Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Olena Kondratiuk met in Warsaw with Vice-Marshal of the Senate of Poland Michal Kaminski.

The parties discussed, in particular, issues of information security and countering russian propaganda and disinformation.

“I am convinced that russian propaganda and disinformation are the same weapon as missiles and bombs that they cynically fire at peaceful Ukrainian cities. We talked about jointly countering these threats and challenges.

One of the important tasks is not to get tired of telling and conveying to Europe and the world the truth about the events in Ukraine and the war crimes committed by russia. A joint Ukrainian-Polish film production could help us do this,” said Olena Kondratiuk.

According to the Vice-Speaker, it is also necessary to limit russia’s information influence as much as possible, including the termination of activities in the EU of those institutions and organisations that can be used and involved in the spread of russian disinformation and propaganda.

“This, in particular, was mentioned in the recent resolution of the Lithuanian Parliament appealing to the EU and NATO countries on the need for complete international isolation of russia,” recalled Olena Kondratiuk.
