«Ukraine had seven tasks on the European integration track – some of them have already been fulfilled, such as the appointment of the Head of the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office or the election of some members of the High Council of Justice. This is something that depends on the Parliament,» the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Korniienko said on the air of the national telethon «UA together».

In particular, the First Vice-Speaker noted that there are three «tracks» related to the laws. Firstly, it is a fair and transparent competition for the appointment of judges to the Constitutional Court. Secondly, it is a bill on the implementation of directives in the field of media and advertising. Thirdly, it is the implementation of legislation on national minorities or communities. The second reading will soon take place on all these acts.

«Different laws are differently perceived by colleagues: somewhere there are more amendments, somewhere less. But we are working, looking for compromises and solutions in full contact and cooperation with the European Commission, the Council of Europe and other relevant institutions, so that Ukraine has a real opportunity to fulfil its homework as quickly as possible before the new year,» summed up Oleksandr Korniienko.
