"Canada is a reliable partner both in providing humanitarian and military aid to Ukraine, and in implementing sanctions against the russian aggressor," stressed the First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Korniyenko during a working meeting with the Canadian delegation on the grounds of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly, IPU), ongoing in Kigali, Rwanda.  

Members of the delegation, People's Deputies of Ukraine — Olga Rudenko, Artur Gerasimov, Alyona Shkrum, Zhan Beleniuk and Oleksiy Zhmerynetskyi also took part in the conversation.

 First of all, Oleksandr Korniyenko thanked the Canadian side for its support and assistance during this unprovoked aggressive war of russia against Ukraine and humanity.
 "Further cooperation between the parliaments of Ukraine and Canada should keep on developing in order for our friendship groups to cooperate even more actively," the First Deputy Speaker emphasized.

On top of that, the First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine invited Canadian delegates to participate in the First Parliamentary Summit of the Crimea Platform.

On October 10 - 14, the delegation of the Parliament of Ukraine headed by the First Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Korniyenko is carrying out a working visit to Africa.
