Ruslan Stefanchuk: Those who talk about Ukraine must see Ukraine

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk, together with the President of the French National Assembly Yael Braun-Pivet, held a working visit to Chernihiv region.

Chernihiv region is one of the regions of Ukraine most affected by russian aggression.

As the Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, noted, as a result of active hostilities, 8,500 objects were destroyed, and this is mainly the housing stock. 33 bridges and crossings were destroyed and a thousand kilometers of roads were destroyed. And this is far from the complete list of what the russian invaders destroyed.

Today, the city and the region need help. First of all, in reconstruction.

«I am grateful that France is taking an active part in the restoration of Ukraine, in particular Chernihiv region. Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk said.

«Dozens of destroyed buildings in the suburbs of Chernihiv were also inspected. Now, people are forced to live in modular towns cause their houses have been destroyed. All the residents of Chernihiv are asking for is the restoration of their homes.» Ruslan Stefancuk stressed.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine thanked France who took Chernihiv region under guardianship. «And I am convinced that after today's visit we will see even more practical steps to rebuild the region.» Mr. Stefanchuk added.

Because as Yael Braun-Pivet pointed out, "We'll be your eyes, your voice, we'll convey all the pain and horror we saw. It's important for us to continue supporting Ukraine.»
