First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Korniienko held a meeting with the ex-President of the European Parliament Pat Cox. «He is a person who not only cheers for the Ukrainian Parliament but has done a lot to make it better!» Oleksandr Korniienko said.
 
 The First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine informed Pet Cox that Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is working effectively during the war, and processes are underway to implement the recommendations of the Pat Cox mission — 45.7% of which have already been formally implemented. «This includes fighting the legislative "spam" and the imperfections of the calendar plan, improving the effectiveness of its according councils, and the control function of the Parliament, online meetings of committees, and informing the public about the activities of the Verkhovna Rada, parliamentary reform, etc.» Oleksandr Korniienko said.
 
 «We hope that during the next stages, we will consolidate the current results and set new goals, taking into account the challenges the Ukrainian Parliament is facing in the conditions of war.» First Deputy Chairman said at the end of the meeting.
