First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Korniienko met with a delegation of representatives of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) party.
«Grateful to the ALDE Party – Liberals and Democrats for Europe for the visit of a powerful delegation to Ukraine and the systematic support of our state in European aspirations and the fight against terrorist Russia!» Oleksandr Korniienko emphasized at the beginning of the meeting.
He added that the war continues. «We hope Russian missiles will not fly toward EU countries. However, Russia has already crossed all the borders of the hybrid war; this is, in particular, the blackmail of Europe – economic, energy, and political manipulation of the theme of "war fatigue.» First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed.
Oleksandr Korniienko emphasized: «However, Ukraine is fighting! We defend our independence and the values ??of the entire civilized world! For the sake of our joint victory, we must continue:
- accession of Ukraine to the EU;
- activation of the format of the Crimean Platform (the parliamentary conference) and strengthening of security in the Mediterranean region;
- reconstruction and restoration of Ukraine after the destruction caused by the invasion and shelling of the Russian Federation.»
