The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine congratulated on Bastille Day

I congratulate the people of France on their national holiday – Bastille Day!

Unity is more than indivisibility.

Justice is not just a moral ideal.

Freedom is not only an aspiration.

These are the principles for which democratic nations are ready to fight and win. In the name of independence and integrity of the nation!

Thank you to the people of France and personally to the President of the Senate of the French Republic, Gerard Larcher, with whom I met last week.

I will quote your speech in the meeting hall before the entire Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine: "Long live free Ukraine and long live friendship between Ukraine and France!"
