Ruslan Stefanchuk: If this "military epidemic" is not stopped now, no one will control its further spread

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, together with the Executive Committee of the National Parliamentary Group in the Inter-Parliamentary Union, held a working meeting with the delegation of the Working Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union regarding the situation in Ukraine.

"With each Irpin, Bucha, Mariupol, with each destroyed Ukrainian city and killed child, the corridor for any conversations with the aggressor becomes more and more narrow," first of all Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized, adding that back in March, the Inter-Parliamentary Union, as an organization, condemned the russian war against Ukraine, recognizing the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.

"Today, I see the desire of representatives of the parliaments of different countries to help Ukraine," the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine noted, emphasizing that at the same time when anyone tries to impose the need for negotiations on Ukraine and asks what is needed for this, the answer is unequivocal: "First russia must withdraw its troops from the territory of Ukraine, stop the war and stop killing people. We did not start this war. We are only defending our land."

"If this "military epidemic" is not stopped now, no one will control its further spread. And it will not be limited to Europe. This epidemic will become a reason for further military conflicts. Ukraine is a peaceful country. We ask all other countries to take Ukraine's side, thus demonstrating that the world is unequivocally on the side of good and justice," concluded the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk.
