Today, a solemn installation of the flag of the European Union took place in the meeting hall of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. From now on, the EU flag will stand next to the yellow-blue flag as a symbol of Ukraine's desire to become a full member of the European family and to adopt the necessary European integration laws as soon as possible.
"Until this morning, I had two dreams. The first is when the flag of the European Union flies next to the yellow-blue flag in the hall of the Verkhovna Rada! The second is when I finally take off my military uniform and put on a white shirt with a suit to hold plenary sessions in the peaceful Parliament. The first dream has already come true. This means that the second one will come true," said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk.
During the ceremonial introduction of the flag of the European Union, Ruslan Stefanchuk added: "The flag of the European Union suits the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Both in color and in meaning."
