"Ukraine today began the process of integration into the Three Seas Initiative as a partner of this association," said Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Olena Kondratiuk, during the seventh Three Seas Summit in Riga, Latvia.
Olena Kondratiuk said that during today’s presidential session at the initiative of Polish President Andrzej Duda, the participants supported the inclusion in the Declaration of a position on the beginning of Ukraine’s integration into the Three Seas Initiative as a partner of this union.
The Vice-Speaker also stressed that Ukraine is interested in becoming a member and active participant in this initiative. Olena Kondratiuk invited all member states to participate in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, took part in the seventh summit of the Three Seas as a special guest, whose speech was received with exceptional warmth and attention by the summit participants.
On the agenda of this year's Three Seas Summit are economic growth in the region, geopolitical and security situation, investment attractiveness, energy security, digitalization, and cybersecurity. The Summit also focuses on how the Three Seas Initiative can help Ukraine resist russian aggression and rebuild its infrastructure.
