Ruslan Stefanchuk took part in the Ukrainian Days opening in Brussels

The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, took part in the opening of the Ukrainian Days in Brussels as part of the United for Ukraine (U4U) network.

"I am glad I finally have the opportunity to visit the Ukrainian Hub. First of all, I would like to thank the European Parliament and the President, Ms. Roberta Metsola," said Ruslan Stefanchuk.

An exhibition of works by Ukrainian photojournalist Maks Levin – "Chronicles of the russian Invasion of Ukraine 2022: Beginning" was opened as part of the event.

"Maks Levin was a fantastic Ukrainian photographer who filmed the war and died from bullets fired by the russian army near Kyiv," said Ruslan Stefanchuk.

The head of the Ukrainian Parliament declared a moment of silence to honor the memory of Maks and the journalists who lost their lives for the right to know the truth and to do their job with dignity and professionalism.

Ruslan Stefanchuk also spoke about the activities of the United for Ukraine network and thanked all members of the organization for their help.

"I ask you to mobilize, to use all opportunities to convince the whole world that Ukraine is Europe. Today we have to talk about only one thing: the positive decision made on June 24 will be a powerful political contribution to the whole world," Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed.

The Chairman reminded that Ukraine and Ukrainians are fighting for European values. Today Ukraine is defending the whole of Europe.

"For this, it needs quality weapons, sanctions support, financial assistance, and clear plans for reconstruction in the future. Therefore, I sincerely hope, in particular, for the support of Ukraine by EU members in all these areas. Then the war will end with the victory of Ukraine," Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed.

However, he noted that a complete victory requires a fair verdict from the International Criminal Court and compensation from the russian federation for the damage caused to Ukraine.

"This is the ideal formula for the complete victory of Ukraine. I want to call everyone to unity. We must go together to achieve our common goal. When Ukraine wins, the whole of Europe will win. The outcome of this war depends on us. I believe in the victory of Ukraine. I believe in the victory of Europe. I believe in the victory of European values ??and that the aggressor will lose," Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized.
