Rudy Demotte said he felt obliged to support Ukraine in the fight against the russian aggressor.
We discussed Ukraine's European integration aspirations, military assistance, tightening sanctions, rebuilding Ukraine at the expense of russia, and the impact of the war on the world's food security.
As well as the exclusion of russia from the permanent members of the Security Council and the acquisition of Ukraine's observer status in the Parliamentary Assembly of Francophonie.
Rudy Demotte is convinced that Ukraine should be given the prospect of joining the EU. He also stressed that Belgium will continue to warmly welcome all Ukrainians who are forced to leave their homeland.
