"On June 23-24, Ukrainians want to hear a common European "yes" when deciding on Ukraine's EU bid," stated the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine during a joint the press summary with the Speaker of the Chamber of Representatives of the Federal Parliament of the Kingdom of Belgium Eliane Tillieux.
"Ukrainians show the world that they are worthy of EU principles and values," Ruslan Stefanchuk stressed.
The Chairman thanked all Belgians for their solidarity with Ukraine and open hearts.
The Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament noted that the political support of Belgium and the sanctions pressure on russia, which reduces the economic capacity of the aggressor, are especially valuable for Ukraine.
"We understand that this has an economic impact on EU taxpayers. But without strong sanctions, the price of Europe's loss will be many times higher" Ruslan Stefanchuk said.
