"Currently, a diplomatic marathon is underway, its results will be literally in a week or two," First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Korniyenko said on the TV marathon "United News" (#UAtogether).
The First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine noted that Ukraine expects very encouraging results.
"We hope that the European Commission, represented by President Ursula von der Leyen, is determined to give a positive opinion on Ukraine," said Oleksandr Korniyenko.
Politician also emphasized that it was clear from Ms von der Leyen's rhetoric that next week would begin with European Commission working meetings: "On Friday, June 17, they will make a decision to recommend to the European Council".
