Nancy Pelosi is ready to support Ukraine on its European integration path

During a telephone conversation, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk called on the Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi to support Ukraine on its European integration path.

"I ask you, if possible, to convey the importance of a positive decision on Ukraine to your fellow speakers, key politicians of the EU, on whom such a decision depends. No country in the world has such a strong voice as the United States, and I ask that this voice be once again in support of Ukraine," Ruslan Stefanchuk said.

According to him, on June 24 the European Union can either stop the aggressor or give him a new breath.

"If the EU does not vote to grant Ukraine candidate status, it will push us all back years, strengthen russia at the same time and encourage it to continue to use force even more to put pressure on other states," Ruslan Stefanchuk said.

For her part, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives said that America understands Ukraine's desire to become a member of the European family. According to her, it is crucial that everyone acts in the same direction and supports Ukraine. She said there were some concerns about Hungary's position.

"But remember, I personally support you, the US government supports you. We are not only talking, but we are doing everything we can to show you that we really support Ukraine," Nancy Pelosi said.

The Speaker of the US House of Representatives added that America supports Ukraine in everything necessary: ??provides military, humanitarian, financial assistance, imposes the necessary sanctions.
