During her working visit to the Czech Republic, the Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine met with the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, Marketa Pekarova Adamova.
"Ukraine will be the Czech Republic's top priority during its presidency of the EU Council in the second half of this year," Marketa Pekarova Adamova assured.
According to her, the priorities of the Czech Republic's presidency will be:
- assistance to Ukrainian migrants in all EU countries;
- military support of Ukraine, provision of weapons for protection against the aggressor;
- post-war reconstruction of Ukraine;
- achieving independence of the EU from russian energy sources;
- EU cybersecurity, countering russian propaganda and information attacks.
