Ruslan Stefanchuk on the meeting with Olaf Scholz: It seems to me that we were as sincere as possible

The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine told about the meeting with the Federal Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, in an interview with the ARD television channel.

"It simply came to our notice then. Germany is the leader of the EU, and Germany's opinion on Ukraine's EU bid is critical. I think that I was able to dispel all the skeptical fears of Olaf Scholz, and I hope for his positive decision at the summit of the European Council," the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament told reporters.

Ruslan Stefanchuk added that he invited Olaf Scholz to visit Ukraine and address the Ukrainian Parliament, which today is becoming a world platform for all leaders who want to state their position and support Ukraine.

"He thanked me for this invitation, and I hope that he will accept it," the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed.
