This was stated by the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, during a conversation with the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Malta Angelo Farrugia
“It is a pleasure that according to Eurobarometer, 77% of Malta citizens favor Ukraine's accession to the EU. This exceeds the overall level of support for Ukraine among EU member states (66%).
I hope for continuous support from Malta to Ukraine. The introduction of the 6th package of sanctions as soon as possible and closer cooperation between the parliaments of Ukraine and Malta.” -Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized.
He also expressed hope that the 6th sanctioning package will include full energy embargo, comprehensive SWIFT ban and total bal of russian export, as well as the ban of russian media in Europe and expansion of individual sanctions.
