Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Olena Kondratiuk met with Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Croats outside the Republic of Croatia Zdravka Busic and Ambassador of Croatia to Ukraine Anica Djamic.

The parties discussed issues that need to work together to strengthen interstate and interparliamentary relations.
"For us, the official recognition by the Croatian Parliament of the Holodomor of 1932-33 in Ukraine as the genocide of the Ukrainian people is extremely important. We are also asking for the creation of a Crimea Platform in the Croatian Parliament," said Olena Kondratiuk.

Olena Kondratiuk appealed to Zdravka Busic to help the Croatian Parliament adopt the Statement in support of Ukraine during this difficult period, when we are threatened with a full-scale Russian invasion. In turn, Zdravka Busic assured that the Government and the majority in the Croatian Parliament sincerely support Ukraine and are in solidarity with the Ukrainian people in these difficult times.
