Condolences of Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk in connection with the Death of President of the European Parliament David Sassoli

Terribly saddened by the death of a true friend of Ukraine, President of the European Parliament David Sassoli.
During the Russian escalation on Ukraine's borders in the spring of 2021, he called on the Russian Federation to take a step back. He has also repeatedly insisted on sanctions against Russia and Belarus.
My deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, friends, the European Parliament and the Italian people. Riposa in pace.
