One of the issues that is fundamentally important for our
statehood is the Holodomor. This was stated by Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada
of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk at the Conference of Ambassadors of Ukraine
“Diplomacy 30. Strategy of the Strong State”.

The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada reminded that next year we will marks the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor. “In this regard, I will propose a number of initiatives. In particular, in January next year, I will appeal to the speakers of the world's parliaments to recognize the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people,” Ruslan Stefanchuk said.
Ruslan Stefanchuk called on all ambassadors in countries that have not yet recognized this terrible crime of the Soviet communist regime to make additional efforts to persuade parliamentarians of these countries to take appropriate decisions.
