Politicians and public figures who are recognized as opinion leaders in Ukraine will have to demonstrate by their own example the importance of receiving a booster dose of the COVID-19 coronavirus vaccine as soon as it is approved in Ukraine. This position was expressed by First Deputy Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Kornienko.
"We need to continue to increase the rate of vaccination. Therefore, when the booster vaccination starts, I think that all politicians, public figures and opinion leaders should show by their own example the need for vaccination," he said.
At the same time, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament stressed that the planned payments of one thousand hryvnias to all fully vaccinated Ukrainians are primarily a mechanism to support those areas of the economy that have suffered most from the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
