For more than a decade, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has been supporting initiatives that promote Ukraine's economic transformation and deepen international economic integration. This was announced by Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk during the event of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine discussed with the participants of the webinar ways to strengthen ties between the OECD and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and areas for further cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the discussion of the best world standards in the field of effective accountability, transparency of decision-making processes.
The politician reminded that Ukraine is currently in a state where the Russian Federation is carrying out aggression and is constantly threatening further escalation of this aggression.
"We have to take this into account when trying to implement new standards developed by other countries in peacetime. At the same time, we are optimistic about the future, because our course for EU membership remains unchanged," said Ruslan Stefanchuk.
The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine invited OECD experts to work out clear plans for Ukraine's further rapprochement with the EU.
