The idea of reforming the Parliament of Ukraine is to make it an effective institution. Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk stated this during the briefing.

First of all, according to the speaker, it is necessary to improve and modernize such functions of the Parliament as analytics, monitoring, preparation and development of quality bills, as well as training of people's deputies and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

“We have an idea to restore the research and analytical service, which should exist in Parliament as a think tank and produce all important decisions for the Parliament,” said Ruslan Stefanchuk.

In addition, the Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine said that there was an idea to restore the work of the Parliamentary Library, which was transferred to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine a few years ago. It must become a powerful research institution.

“We have already held meetings with our colleagues, from whom we can get technical assistance for re-equipment. It is very important to us that the vast majority of these reforms are carried out not from the state budget, but at the expense of foreign donors. This is very important for saving our State budget,” he said.
