Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk discussed organizational issues related to the holding of the X National Prayer Breakfast in Ukraine with Doug Burleigh, Co-Chair of the Organizing Committee of the USA National Prayer Breakfast.
The discussion was also joined by the coordinator of the Ukrainian Prayer Breakfast in Washington within the NPB Michael Zhovner, the coordinator of the Ukrainian-American Partnership platform Pavlo Unguryan and the people's deputies of Ukraine.
"The value of prayer breakfasts is that they are a platform for dialogue between countries. After all, every year thousands of participants from almost all over the world come together. Representatives of different faiths, people of different professions and views have the opportunity to meet and discuss political, economic, environmental and other challenges. And dialogue is a way to understanding," Ruslan Stefanchuk said.
The Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine hopes that the X National Prayer Breakfast in Ukraine will be held in May next year.
"I have repeatedly stressed that unity is our strength. So I definitely support the things that unite and help make our home even better," he added.
