Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk hopes that the Law “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2022” will be adopted in time.
He reminded that in accordance with the requirements of Article 157 of the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada, the draft Law “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2022” must be considered and approved by the Parliament in the first reading by October 20. Ruslan Stefanchuk noted that, based on the results of the consideration of the State Budget for 2022 in the first reading, the Verkhovna Rada will adopt conclusions and proposals to the draft law on the State Budget.
According to the budget conclusions, the Government is obliged to finalize the draft State Budget-2022 before the second reading and submit it to the Parliament of Ukraine together with the comparative table, which must take into account the proposals of the Parliament, and with reasoned explanations regarding unconsidered budget conclusions.
He also called on parliamentarians to submit proposals to the draft State Budget-2022. “I would like us to successfully complete the budget process in the country within the limits and terms provided by the Constitution, Regulations and legislation of Ukraine and not to enter, as before, to the traditional for the Parliament budget nights,” Ruslan Stefanchuk said.
In addition, the Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine reminded that this week a large number of important issues for the state are proposed for consideration at the plenary sittings. In particular, this issue concerns the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, the National Bank of Ukraine, the resource bill, the partial deposit guarantee fund, etc.
Ruslan Stefanchuk also informed that there is a preliminary initiative to hold an extraordinary sitting of the Parliament on Thursday, October 21, dedicated to European integration Laws.
