Speaker of the Parliament Ruslan Stefanchuk signed the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine "On the Statement of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Priority Issues of Ukraine's Integration into the European Union" (No. 6132).
With this document, the Parliament decides to approve the text of the Statement of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on priority issues of Ukraine's integration into the EU and instruct the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to immediately send the text of the Statement to the European Parliament and Parliaments of the member states of the European Union.
In the Statement, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine reaffirms Ukraine's strategic course towards full membership in the European Union, enshrined in the Constitution of Ukraine, and calls for the recognition of Ukraine's membership in the EU in accordance with Article 49 of the Treaty on European Union.
