Today marks 80 years since the beginning of the mass shootings of civilians in Nazi-occupied Kyiv in the Babyn Yar tract. This tragedy became not only a terrible symbol of the Holocaust, but also an example of the terrible consequences of the policies of the Nazi regime.

The pain of the tragedy of Babyn Yar still resonates in the hearts of many. After all, thousands of citizens of different nationalities became victims of the shootings: Jews, Ukrainians, Roma and others.

We are not able to change the course of history, but we can and must not forget about the dead. Because as long as we remember them, they live in our hearts. And each of us must make every effort to prevent the recurrence of those terrible events in the future.
