Chairperson of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov met with Deputy Secretary General of NATO Mircea Geoana.  The parties discussed the reform process in Ukraine and the partnership with NATO.
The Speaker of the Parliament noted that Ukraine is actively working to ensure the achievement of NATO principles and standards.
According to Dmytro Razumkov, the Ukrainian Parliament has adopted important legislation and guidelines in the field of security and defense. "Today we are moving towards NATO. For us, it's not just words - it's what is enshrined in the Constitution of Ukraine," he said.
Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted that the parliamentary dimension remains an important component of Ukraine's high-level political dialogue with NATO.
In turn, NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana noted that Ukraine and the Alliance speak the same language - the language of democracy and common values. He noted the progress of Ukraine on the path of reforms and added that it should be not only fast but also high quality.
